Supply Chain Director - Europe

Supply Chain Management Jobs – Supply Chain Planning Jobs. Zest’s Scientific recruitment division is working in association with a leading provider of products and services to the scientific research, healthcare and safety markets. My client has a current requirement for a Supply Chain Planning Director to centralise the European Supply Chain view. Tasked to establish a central supply chain strategy to drive consistency across the European region.
The Supply Chain Planning Director will be responsible for the European business region and based at my clients UK office in the Midlands. The role has three direct reports, overseeing the purchasing and inventory planning organisations providing supervision of regional supply chain leaders. Responsible for providing a high quality service via a multi-region, multi-distribution centre (10 centres) delivery network the successful candidate will be required to actively manage the inventory plan and all aspects of replenishment, including devising systems and formulas for inventory and replenishment determinants.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader, with a track record as an effective communicator who will positively implement change, defining best practice principles and communicate this view in order to centralise a Supply Chain Plan and leverage the power of a single European view. The Supply Chain Director will be results oriented who adopts a continuous improvement approach to implementing change. Superior analytical and computer skills with experience utilising advanced database tools is desired for this role.
A Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain / Materials Management or Business Logistics will be advantageous. It is essential that applicants have 5-10 years of replenishment experience coupled with additional experience managing supply chain leaders in a complex distribution environment. Candidates must have gained previous exposure to inventory control / management / reduction in a high SKU environment, with skills in inventory management algorithms and advanced inventory management methods.
Salary package is flexible, commensurate with level of candidate experience (upwards of £75K + Bonus and a range of additional benefits).
