Key Account Manager – Scientific Sales
Scientific Sales jobs Midlands. Zest’s scientific recruitment team is currently recruiting for an interesting commercial role within the scientific sales arena, managing a key pharmaceutical account. The role will require excellent negotiation skills coupled with a solutions oriented approach as the Key Account Manager will be required to utilise specific sales data in order to successfully convert business and increase sales revenues. The Key Account Manager will not be responsible for closing direct sales; alternatively they will be tasked to identify buying trends and assess opportunities through analyzing the clients purchasing trends and negotiating with third party suppliers in order to convert orders.
The Key Account Manager will spend 50% of their time identifying buying patterns via analysis of the ordering system and identifying decision makers within the third party supplier, negotiating pricing. The remaining 50% of the time will be spent supporting the managed service provider in order to assist with supplier negotiations and provide technical advice on prospective orders which can be converted. Primarily based at my clients head office in the East Midlands, UK and occasional overseas travel will also be required. The successful candidate will be provided with an excellent platform in which to shine as this role offers huge career potential.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will possess a wealth of commercial acumen with a proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing sales within the laboratory supplies market. Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific subject, this role will be highly attractive to candidates who are looking to progress their career from a first line scientific sales role into a more business focused position with outstanding growth potential.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary ranging from £34,000 - £38,000 (DOE); however, there will be flexibility on the upper limit for the right candidate.
