Zest Scientific is currently recruiting for a commercially astute sales and marketing professional with industry experience gained in the scientific sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and assisting in developing global strategy to maximize profitability for a defined category of products.

The Product Manager / Category Specialist will develop and manage marketing plans (including pricing) for the products and applications within a defined portfolio with the additional responsibility of identifying new products to increase the portfolio offering. Developing and implementing marketing campaigns that encompass market analysis, financial targets, promotional plans and success criteria. Analytical responsibilities will involve identifying patterns and trends within data to assist with category analysis; utilising research tools such as Excel, Cognos and Business objects.

Office based with some international travel the Product Manager / Category Specialist will be based in the East Midlands. It is essential that applicants possess a proven track record of success in a commercially related role within the scientific sector (good sales and marketing track record). CIM/DMS qualified or equivalent would be advantageous.
