Zest Scientific is currently recruiting for an experienced Service Manager with operational experience managing Logistics and Inventory to join a world leader in providing service support to the scientific community. The Field Service Operations Manager will undertake responsibility for all aspects of the UK service business, ensuring field support and internal service coordinator teams are structured to provide market leading customer service and effective, timely support for field based engineers. This a strategic role within my clients UK business which will require candidates to be technically accomplished (Previous Service Management) coupled with knowledge of Logistics / Fulfillment and Inventory, ensuring inventory meets business requirements.

The Field Service Operations Manager will undertake additional responsibility which will include attending customer sites to monitor performance and customer satisfaction, reviewing contracts and ultimately discussing potential new business opportunities. The Customer Service department directly reports into the Operations Manager and the successful candidate will demonstrate expertise with an SAP ERM system, capable of assessing the needs of the commercial team and how the SAP ERP system meets those needs. Additional generic operational management duties will include managing budgets, UK representation at corporate level and advocating for continuous improvement through PPI; improving customer service, purchasing and warehouse functions while delivering the highest levels of customer service.

The Field Service Operations Manager will demonstrate a multi faceted skill set, combining knowledge of the Scientific Service industry (Field Service Management) with previous operational management experience (Logistics and Fulfillment, Inventory Management, Customer Service and Project Management). Direct scientific sector experience would be advantageous although not essential, alternatively candidates from CapEx markets will be considered.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary ranging from £45,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + Bonus, Car, Healthcare, Life Assurance.
