Zest’s Scientific recruitment division is currently searching for a Scientific Sales specialist to manage a range of academic and commercial accounts across the Greater London region. The Scientific Sales Specialist will manage a highly established account base amongst London’s premier research facilities, responsible for maintaining first class service levels whilst exploring opportunities to develop further business.

Due to the nature of the role my client has outlined that there are excellent career opportunities and growth potential for experienced Scientific Sales professionals to make a positive impact with a world leader in the supply of Molecular Biology focused products. Equally, my client is receptive to discussing this opportunity with candidates who possess the relevant academic background (Molecular Biology – BSc and/or Ph.D) with a genuine commitment to developing a career in Scientific Sales.

The Scientific Sales Specialist will need to be a people person with a proven ability to communicate and negotiate skillfully at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to show creativity, determination and a pro active nature in order to identify solutions and ultimately generate new business opportunities. Additional behavioural competencies include a positive, outgoing, energetic sales attitude with first class communication skills, having the ability to impact within an already successful organisation.

As previously stated this role is suitable for both experienced and Trainee Scientific Sales professionals. Due to the product portfolio, a strong Molecular Biology background is desired (BSc and/or Ph.D). Trainee candidates will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills coupled with a strong rationale as to why they want to break into a customer facing role.

In return the successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary package ranging from £28,000 - £36,000 (DOE) + Bonus, Car, Healthcare, Pension plus a range of additional benefits.
