Zest’s Scientific Recruitment team is working in partnership with a leading player in the supply of consumables and instrumentation to the research community. Due to continued growth our client has a requirement for a Scientific Sales Specialist to develop sales in line with company objectives across the Scotland with particular emphasis on academic research and biotech accounts. My client is interested in candidates with existing business to business sales experience in the research community or alternatively, candidates who have a proven track record of success promoting technical products within the wider healthcare market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a well established portfolio of products applicable to the Genomic market. This vacancy provides a unique opportunity for a commercially focused individual to join a true world leader.

It is essential that applicants are educated to degree level (minimum) in a relevant scientific discipline and have additionally forged a career in sales. The successful candidate will demonstrate a number of key personal qualities; however, more specifically it is essential that candidates can demonstrate a tenacious and focused attitude. Previous Scientific sales experience is highly desirable; although my client will consider applications from candidates with no previous territory management experience providing they demonstrate first class communication and relationship building skills coupled with the relevant academic background (Ph.D / MSc / BSc) in Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular or Cell Biology.

In return the successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous salary ranging from £28,000 - £36,000 (DOE) + Bonus (£10K OTE), Company Car, Healthcare, Pension and a range of additional benefits.
