Are you an experienced Medical Advisor or Medical Affairs professional interested in working with one of the most successful biotechs in the world? Our London based client is keen to hear from medically qualified individuals (based in London or relocating) with a number of years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology sphere to strategically develop the medical awareness of a Genetic Diseases portfolio both internally and externally.

 

Your experience:

 

Essential:

  • Medically qualified (MD, PharmD, MBBS, MB or equivalent)
  • Strong background in Genetic Diseases, Rare Diseases or Orphan Drugs (in practice or industry)
  • 5+ years’ experience in the pharma/biotech industry
  • 1-2+ years’ experience as an ABPI/Medical Final Signatory

 

  • Experience in reviewing and approving medical promotional materials
  • Background in providing medical and scientific support to internal sales & marketing teams
  • Ability to leverage relationships with national KOLs (within the designated TA)
  • Understanding of local, regional and international regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with interpretation of clinical statistics and data
  • Up to date working knowledge of relevant requirements surrounding product development, pharmacovigilance and promotional activities
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific or medical publications
  • Proven experience in working both internally and externally
  • Experience of working in a matrix structure environment

 

  • Ability to travel 30% (Must have valid driving licence)

 

Desirable:

  • Working proficiency in another EU language

 

Your new job:

 

  • Create and implement scientific education programmes within the local medical plan
  • Be responsible for delivering high quality scientific and medical education plans to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide training materials to the Sales & Marketing teams regarding specific Genetic Diseases
  • Manage and oversee IIR proposals in collaboration with other teams
  • Understand and implement the local promotional plan, reviewing and approving materials according to the relevant ABPI codes and other regulatory requirements
  • Attend and represent the company at national and international meetings and conferences to respond to scientific questions and further improve KOL relationships
  • Alongside the local Medical Affairs teams, target and establish further KOL networks to better improve the medical awareness of the relevant therapeutic area (Genetic Diseases)
